Today is the first day of fall and the start to the cozy season. Of all the seasons I think it's nature's prettiest. Today is all about decorating with neutral decor for fall. I want to share the secrets of decorating for multiple seasons using neutral decor. I'm all about pumpkins and seasonal decor BUT we don't need to overdo it. At the end of each season, we have to store what we purchased and that can become a problem very quickly. Just because you have a large storage area doesn't mean you should fill it up. Keeping it simple

So now you are wondering, "How do I buy neutral fall decor that will last through Thanksgiving, Christmas, and winter" Change your mindset... instead of ALL things fall think more "COZY"neutral. Focus on the following:

1. Bring in more texture with pillows and throws

2. Pick up natural elements such as branches and deeper wood tones

3. Add layers using trays, candles, pillows, and art.

Keeping these items neutral will allow them to stay around well into the cold winter months. I pick a color for each season and that is what I will use as accent decor. Here in our modern farmhouse home located in Virginia we used copper and I love it so much.

In that living room we had a giant tv. In order to hide it I simply painted the fireplace black and it certainly helped. Decorating with a large vase and branches took some of the attention away from the tv as well.

Decorating For Fall Using Neutral Decor

1.  Keep your vases out all year long but add seasonal branches or flowers
2.  Keep your coffee table books light and coastal inspired.
3.  Decorate with seashells and driftwood just add seasonal candles.
