Happy Monday everyone! It's hard to believe that Thanksgiving is just a few days away. Yes, I am sharing my traditional farmhouse Christmas kitchen tour before Thanksgiving. There is a good reason for that, as a blogger and social media influencer it's my passion and job to give you ALL the inspiration before you begin decorating. Instead of standing in line at the store trying to figure out, "what to buy" I've made it easy for you! This year I kept the kitchen pretty basic with pops of red and white, greens (of course), all mixed together with my love for blue. For me, it's important to use a lot of the same decor year-round. Our kitchen has gone through some major changes since we moved in. You can our kitchen remodel here.
Gimme All The Boxwood!
Boxwood is a classic, so I knew I had to incorporate a couple of wreaths into our oversized windows. command strips, red ribbon and DONE! I always hang garland on the windows and I left the nails in from last year. It was the quickest installation ever! The garland is several years old and unavailable but I found THIS beautiful boxwood garland that will look amazing alone or paired with a wreath!
I received a lot of questions about this super cute "faux" real tree during our Jingle Holiday Market. Everyone thought it was real, I LOVE it and you will see in my living room post later this week that I have another one! It's part of my Exclusive Holiday Collection with Curtis Creation. They sold out at our event but you can order your own tree here. Did I mention they are almost 4 ft tall and come in their own bucket with faux dirt!
Traditional Farmhouse Christmas Kitchen
I'm so excited about the whole collection. It's perfectly curated and was the foundation for my entire Christmas theme. I knew I wanted to create a traditional farmhouse Christmas kitchen with a modern touch. Marrying the words, traditional and modern with farmhouse can be difficult but I am so happy with the results. I hope you agree! It's been such an honor to work with Susie, owner of Curtis Creation. She lives in the great state of Texas and our meetings were held through facetime on our iPhones! She is a single mom running this small shop and her passion for bringing beautiful home decor and encouragement is so refreshing! It's always great to work one on one with the owner of a business especially when they are as AWESOME as Susie! A little secret... she will be back for our Bloom Market in the Spring! WOOHOO! Check out the entire collection here and take advantage of the free shipping!
This black rod came from Ikea and hangs at the end of our island. I love changing the towels and plants up each season. When you think of a traditional farmhouse Christmas kitchen you probably think something yummy is baking, right?! Me too, so I raided the holiday baking aisle at Target to fill my tiered tray. I bought everything needed to bake all the sugar cookies my kids could handle! We are getting started this week! I did pour the sugar cookie mix into a tall container and found this little chalkboard in the dollar spot. However, I forgot to write about it! HAHA! Oh well, you can't win them all.
If you want the best holiday cookies and baked goods for your parties you need to check out my girls Creative Confections by Heather and Love and ButterThey are taking holiday orders now and they ship! WIN-WIN! We can't forget the real reason for celebrating this season. Let's take the time each day to reflect on our blessings and the sacrifice Christ made so we could be forgiven and live in peace and contentment. Gathering together with family and giving thanks is made a little sweeter with this beautiful handmade cutting board from my friend Christine owner of Marking Remarks. We worked together and made a few very special signs including this "Merry & Bright" boxwood. Thank you for stopping by and visiting our traditional "modern" farmhouse Christmas kitchen! I hope you are inspired and feeling the Holiday cheer! My goal for this season is to have a new post up every couple of days. It's a lot of work but I'm committed to making my lil' world here something special in hopes that you keep wanting more!
