Fall is such a cozy time of year. Of all the seasons I think it's the prettiest. As school starts we begin to crave a little more cozy in our life. Today I'm sharing how to transition your home into fall decor like a pro. As an award-winning designer and recovering shopper of #ALLTHETHINGS. I want to share the secrets of decorating for multiple seasons. If done right your fall decor will also transition into both Christmas and winter. I'm all about pumpkins and seasonal decor BUT we don't need to overdo it (except for Christmas):) At the end of each season, we have to store what we purchased and that can become a problem very quickly. Just because you have a large storage area doesn't mean you should fill it up. Remember, new decor will become old decor one day.
So now you are wondering, "How in the world do I buy fall decor that will last through the whole winter?" Change your mindset... instead of ALL fall think COZY. Focus on the following:
Bringing in texture
Warm tones
Fluffy throws
Keeping these items neutral will allow them to stay around well into the cold winter months.

Our office is very neutral. Adding the texture of branches, candles, and new pillows takes it directly into the fall and winter months. See the renovation before and after photos HERE
Now that you have all the cozy elements in place it's time to get season specific. I also love to add fresh fruit and vegetables to my kitchen and dining area. Two reasons, it doesn't feel staged, it's supposed to be in the eating/dining and my kids will grab that first as a snack! WINNING! Focus on the following:
Branches
Pumpkins and food
Candles
Wreaths

Pumpkins and pinecones in a dough bowl. If you don't have one you can use a cakestand, large platter, or any big bowl that may be in your cabinet.
