When Fear is Bigger Than Faith

When fear feels bigger than my faith. What should we do next? Friends, I can tell you that at times in my life I have experienced this feeling. It can be debilitating and scary to even see the next steps in front of you. But I want to press in and tell you to keep going. We can't let the fear of the unknown stop us from living a life of real purpose and meaning. It's so easy to stay comfortable. I love being comfortable, don't you?

I'm pretty sure that is why the Lord spoke to Scott first about moving. I was way too comfortable to make any real changes.

Not every detail and plan worked out the way we initially thought however, we made it! We now live in Wilmington NC. and have a interior design studio that is just getting started. As we start this new chapter, we know this is exactly where we need to be.  We have watched God open doors, close doors, and prepare a path for us that is clear. Our calling is bigger than our fears. Do we still have fear? Of course, but our obedience is bigger.

Don't allow fear to be bigger than your faith

My point is that we have to learn not to operate under a spirit of fear. Fear will cause irrational thoughts and have us acting from a place of chaos. Instead we can have peace even in the unknown. Putting our trust in the one who has already declared victory.

I hope these verses below will help you live a more faithful and fearless life.

2 Timothy 1:7

For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.

Philippians 4:6-9

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. 8. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--if anything is excellent or praiseworthy--think about such things. 9. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me--put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.

Psalm 34:4
I sought the Lord, and he answered me and delivered me from all my fears.
